Anna McKean
I am an Assistant Professor at UVA’s Darden School of Business. I received my PhD from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. I was previously a Post-Doctoral Fellow for the University of Utah’s Goff Strategic Leadership Center and Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy.
My research focuses on interactions between corporations, the state, and stakeholders. I seek to understand how, when, and why firms use different types of nonmarket strategies; especially in signaling and communicating their values to stakeholders. Additionally, my work takes into account factors such as political polarization; values and ideology; and reputation.
